Handler motion is one of the biggest forms of distraction our dogs will face on course. Helping our dogs learn more independent obstacle performance requires us to eliminate ourselves from the picture as much as we can when we begin teaching the behavior. This means that we must strategically and conscientiously incorporate our motion back into that picture as our dogs become more and more fluent with the progressions of the obstacle we are training.
This class with Rachel Pearson will guide you through the process of unifying handler motion with independent obstacle performances.

Class begins Feb. 8, 2026. Access to class starts Feb. 2, 2026. Class is 8 weeks long, with a "catch up week" built in.

This course is about obstacle training. However, the majority of the work done will be conceptual in nature and/or be implemented from a "ground up" starting point. All exercises can be made age-appropriate for dogs 9 months and up. Different methodologies of training different obstacle will be accommodated (easily.)
