Starting Scenarios
Having a start line that you can trust and that doesn’t give you and your dog anxiety IS possible! Starting Scenarios teaches your dog (and you!) about being still, clear criteria, a set up behavior and how to apply it to start lines, acknowledging and addressing issues with arousal, addressing reinforcement systems, and maintaining criteria in the ring. Give yourself the skills you need to help your dog!
Super Skills
Super Skills is setting the stage for creating our final, complex agility behaviors, which are actually composed of many different tiny, but critical skills. Brilliant agility dogs need to know how to use their bodies, how to drive to food or toy reinforcement (as well as return to you after the fact!), and have a solid understanding of marker and release cues. You the trainer, need the tools in your toolbox to make those things happen!
Fluency and the 3 D's
Distance, Duration, and Distraction; When we think about building each of these elements into the behaviors we train, it allows us to focus on increasing the complexity of the behavior and the variables around it one at a time. Learn to create distance (independence) and duration (commitment), while helping your dog handle any distraction (handler, environment, etc.) that they may face!
Teeter-Tastic
No more “terrible teeters”! Teeter-Tastic is all about confidence and independence. A fast, consistent four-on at the edge of the teeter board is the end goal, and this class breaks each step down to develop a teeter performance that the handler can trust, and that the dog can feel enthusiastic and confident about!
Do It When I Cue It; Stimulus Control for Agility Dogs
Do It When I Cue It is the updated version of the popular online course, “Stimulus Control Games.” This class is all about teach the dog WHAT to do and WHEN, rather than “what not to do.” With a main focus on gaining control of reinforcements (treats, Treat N Trains, and toys), this class puts control in the hands of the trainer, while maintaining trust in their relationship with their dog.
